FSVR v0.4.0
FSVR v0.4.0: the rebrand, and everything measured off the hardware since v0.3.2.
The rebrand. The plugin is FSVR: new product name, plugin code, CLAP id and bundle id. A host reads the new identity as a different plugin, so a session saved with the previous build will not find it and the plugin has to be added again. The standalone's settings move to %APPDATA%\FSVR\ and start fresh.
Measured against a real unit. Most of this release is calibration against rgwan's captures rather than new features:
- Amplitude EG measured off the hardware, including the key rate scaling that had every release too fast at low notes. The Full Tines demo's four-second tail gap is gone and its envelope correlation went from 0.838 to 0.976.
- The formant window is a time, not a shape: a knee at 44, the harmonic forms are the same window rather than a pulse train, and the skirt doubles the window exponent, which is what separates the form pairs.
- Detune is the EPROM's own key-scaled table, not two cents a step.
- Fseq playback: a grain keeps the level it was fired with so a frame no longer cuts it, the loop points are the performance's, a zero length loop does not play, and a frequency word on a ratio operator saturates the way the chip's does.
- FM index, the unvoiced level, resonance table A, the pan sum and the filter EG direction all settled against capture data; VOP3-2's microcode extracted.
- Effect defaults for the types no preset uses, read out of the Data List.
Builds. Each platform zip is that build's bin/ tree: the standalone, the VST3 and the CLAP. The console zip is the Windows command-line build. No installer and no dependencies; the factory voices, performances and formant sequences are inside the plugin, so no EPROM image is needed.
