Mutte v0.1.0-alpha.7
Mutte alpha.7 fixes attachment downloads:
- Files with the same name now stay separate even when their attachment IDs begin with the same characters.
- Long filenames save correctly.
- Existing verified downloads remain readable, and interrupted downloads can still resume.
Update your existing installation normally; do not delete your Mutte data. This remains an alpha release. No messaging protocol or account recovery changes are included.
Four platform packages were built and verified. Both Mac packages are signed and notarized.
Mutte v0.1.0-alpha.6
Mutte terminal alpha.6 updates rustls from 0.23.43 to 0.23.45 for the security fix tracked by RUSTSEC-2026-0285. There are no terminal feature or protocol changes.
Validated with Linux x86_64/ARM64 and macOS Apple Silicon CI, all four native release builds, and Apple notarization acceptance for both Mac architectures. All published archive checksums and GitHub provenance attestations were verified. Both Mac binaries passed signature and online notarization verification. Fresh installation and an alpha.5-to-alpha.6 upgrade passed on Apple Silicon using isolated install directories.
Each archive includes BUILD-INFO for commit b8e69b7d52210c4f68f2f2af16c23af30602457e and a SHA-256 checksum. This remains an alpha release; public-release security review and wider device/reliability acceptance remain separate.
Mutte v0.1.0-alpha.5
Mutte terminal alpha.5 adds the current personal messaging interface and brings the terminal appearance in line with Mutte’s violet branding.
- Personal navigation for chats, quiet conversations and keepsakes, with local search, notes and sending controls.
- Poll and attachment handling improvements, receipt preferences and notification settings.
- A compact Mutte wordmark, violet default theme and fixed application chrome when scrolling.
- Shared client and local-store fixes from the September alpha candidate.
Existing theme overrides remain supported. Personal preferences and notes retain their device-local boundaries. This remains an alpha; the public-release security review and broader device/reliability gates are separate from this update.
Validated with Linux x86_64/ARM64 and macOS Apple Silicon CI, all four native release builds, and Apple notarization acceptance for both Mac architectures.
