NoChatPopup 1.0.0

The first release of NoChatPopup: a lightweight Paper plugin focused on hiding the “Chat messages can't be verified” join popup.

The aim is simple, free releases and quick updates as new Minecraft versions become available on Paper, without a paid early-access update tier. Update timing is a goal, not a guarantee.

Included

• Popup-only join-packet flag adjustment; chat messages, formatting, signatures, and reporting remain unchanged.
• No required plugins, commands, permissions, or plugin-specific configuration.
• Bundled bStats 3.2.1 using plugin ID 34379, with no custom charts. Opt out through the shared plugins/bStats/config.yml.

Requirements and installation

• Paper 26.3 and Java 25+.
• Targets native Minecraft Java 26.3 clients. Other Minecraft versions are intentionally rejected.
• Download NoChatPopup-1.0.0.jar, place it in plugins, and restart the server fully.
• A SHA-256 checksum is attached alongside the JAR.

The automated tests exercise packet-copy behavior using a test record, not a running Minecraft server. Visual popup suppression remains unverified. Proxy, protocol translator, Folia, Spigot, and other packet-plugin combinations are not verified. Hiding the popup does not make unsigned chat verified.
