- Audio & Subtitle tab: force a default audio/subtitle language, subtitle playback mode, and remember-selection behavior across all users. (#4)
- Experimental PGS/VobSub subtitle rendering toggle, to force client-side rendering and avoid server-side transcoding. (#9)
- Sorting tab: force a default sort order per library. Pick any of your server's real Movies, TV Shows, or Music libraries individually, no library IDs to enter. Applied via both the Jellyfin 12 and legacy 10.11 storage mechanisms, whichever the connecting client uses. (#5)
- The config page has been redesigned into tabs (General / Display & Video / Audio & Subtitle / Sorting) with a floating Save button that highlights when you have unsaved changes.
🐞 Bugs
- Display Mode was force-writing on every page load, even when left unset, permanently blocking users from ever changing their own layout from the Jellyfin UI. Every "Force enable/disable" toggle had the same underlying bug: an unset value defaulted to
false/""and got force-applied anyway. All of these are now genuinely tri-state (Don't manage / Force enabled / Force disabled), and "Don't manage" now actually means the plugin leaves that setting alone. (#8) - Display Mode options are now filtered to your server's actual Jellyfin version:
desktop-legacy,modern, andmobile-legacyonly appear on Jellyfin 12+,experimentalonly on 10.x. Verified directly against Jellyfin 10.11.11 and current server/web source, not assumed.
Notes
- If you previously saved a setting that was silently being force-applied by the old bug (e.g. "Auto" display mode), it'll now show as unmanaged. Re-select it explicitly on the config page if you actually want it forced.
