Release list
NeonPocketMC RCC6 Headless v1.0.0 RC4
NeonPocketMC RCC6 Headless v1.0.0-rc.4
Experimental prerelease built from the exact tagged main commit and MeshCore 1.17.1.
- Saved latitude/longitude adverts work without a physical GPS.
- Unsupported live-GPS policy requests are normalized to saved-coordinate mode.
- BLE, native USB, and Web/TCP remain separate images.
Use app-only images at 0x10000 for normal updates. Recovery images reset NVS while preserving MeshCore storage.
NeonPocketMC RCC6 Headless v1.0.0 RC3
NeonPocketMC RCC6 Headless 1.0 RC3
Experimental screenless companion firmware for the Heltec RadioCore RCC6-L62/SX1262.
- Separate BLE, native USB/serial, and Wi-Fi Web/TCP images
- BLE default pairing PIN
123456 - 350 contacts, 40 channels, and 256 queued companion frames
- Normal app-only images at
0x10000 - Recovery images reset NVS while preserving the later MeshCore SPIFFS data partition
Battery-reading correction
RCC6 ADC samples above the plausible 4.50 V ceiling for a single-cell battery are now treated as unavailable rather than reporting an impossible voltage to companion clients.
Trusted-LAN warning: TCP/5000 exposes the complete companion/admin protocol. Use the Web image only on a trusted private network.
Use only assets from this release and verify them with SHA256SUMS.txt before flashing.
NeonPocketMC RCC6 Headless v1.0.0 RC2
NeonPocketMC RCC6 Headless 1.0 RC2
Experimental screenless companion firmware for the Heltec RadioCore RCC6-L62/SX1262.
- Separate BLE, native USB/serial, and Wi-Fi Web/TCP images
- BLE default pairing PIN
123456 - 350 contacts, 40 channels, and 256 queued companion frames
- Normal app-only images at
0x10000 - Recovery images reset NVS while preserving the later MeshCore SPIFFS data partition
Location-advert correction
The Web location action now confirms whether saved browser coordinates will be included in MeshCore adverts and persists that existing MeshCore policy. Older clients that omit the new choice preserve the prior policy. BLE and native USB behavior is unchanged and regression-built.
Trusted-LAN warning: TCP/5000 exposes the complete companion/admin protocol. Use the Web image only on a trusted private network.
Use only assets from this release and verify them with SHA256SUMS.txt before flashing.
NeonPocketMC RCC6 Headless v1.0.0 RC1
NeonPocketMC RCC6 Headless 1.0 RC1
First experimental screenless companion release for the Heltec RadioCore RCC6-L62/SX1262.
- Three separate images: BLE, native USB/serial, and Wi-Fi Web/TCP
- BLE default pairing PIN
123456 - Wi-Fi setup credentials and assigned LAN IP printed on the 115200-baud USB console
- Standard MeshCore companion protocol; no custom phone application required
- 350 contacts, 40 channels, and 256 queued companion frames
- Normal app-only image at
0x10000 - Recovery images reset NVS but preserve the later MeshCore SPIFFS data partition
- No display, framebuffer, repeater, observer, or room-server path
Normal updates use the selected *-app.bin at 0x10000. The matching recovery file is for 0x0 only when bootloader/partition recovery is required; it resets NVS while leaving the later MeshCore SPIFFS data partition outside the written image.
Trusted-LAN warning: the Web image keeps TCP port 5000 enabled for standard MeshCore clients. Any device that can reach that port can use the complete companion/admin protocol, so use it only on a trusted private network.
Use only assets from the matching GitHub release and verify them with SHA256SUMS.txt before flashing.
