What’s new

Locus 2.6 makes Agents easier to create, understand, and follow, with a redesigned sidebar, Agent manager, and right inspector. It also improves how answers, writing, and workspace files are presented.

Agents

  • Manage Agents brings together a searchable Agent collection, combined activity, shared connections, and runtime controls, with Agent configuration kept separate from shared Connections and Runtime settings.
  • Create scheduled, event-driven, or price-triggered Agents in short forms, with advanced settings available when needed.
  • The sidebar, Agent selector, and right inspector show the active Agent, chat ownership, trigger health, permissions, environment, and recent work more clearly.
  • Inspect runs and failures from their exact activity records. Goals, plans, and approval prompts explain their scope and keep their actions reachable in compact panels.
  • Service permissions stay revoked when every action connection is cleared. Failed or cancelled deliveries keep their correct status.

Answers and files

  • Structured responses can include verified file collections, reusable writing, deliverables, and source references, with a complete Markdown fallback.
  • Edit writing drafts, recover the original answer, and copy or export your text. Copy every table row or export CSV, including when the table display is collapsed.
  • The Files panel browses all workspace file types and generated folders with incremental expansion, path search, explicit hidden-file visibility, and the existing document and media previews.
  • Behavior previews show the effective instructions for the selected provider and mode. Progress updates stay distinct from completed answers.

Reliability

  • Schedule data is retained after failed or cancelled loads, and Agent creation navigation is explicit in compact windows.
  • Mobile conversations preserve partial answers after refresh failures and ignore stale responses after switching chats.
  • Task Capsule setup and compact controls are clearer. Browser resizing and panel expansion keep their smooth transition.

Installing this release

Download Locus-macOS.zip below, extract it, and replace Locus in Applications. This is the wallet-free Apple Silicon edition. Existing chats, accounts, settings, and browser data stay in place. The optional wallet belongs to the separate LocusX edition.

App updates remain manual. The earlier signed app update feed is preserved unchanged for older installations, so upgrading to Locus 2.6 is an explicit download. ChatGPT-plan component downloads continue to work through the republished component assets.

Validation

Hosted CI passed on the final pull-request revision and on the merged main revision: 1,992 backend tests; 1,344 wallet-free native tests; 1,638 LocusX common and wallet native tests with the pinned Anvil, Solana, and Sui local-chain integrations; the full serialized native UI suites for both editions (156 Locus and 172 LocusX tests); 14 mobile tests with Android and iOS simulator builds; plus the wallet-signer provenance, edition, and release-configuration gates. Pull-request validation is recorded in pull request #75.

The Mac download is signed, notarized, stapled, and Gatekeeper-verified.
