Saccade MCP 0.2.5 / Extension 0.4.22

This experimental release adds explicit object-addressed click_attempt support.
An eligible, precisely bound object can be tried without claiming that it is a
recognized standard control. The matching Extension records bounded attempt
metadata in memory; neither collection nor reconnect automatically repeats a
click. Unknown outcomes remain retry_safe: false.

Use MCP 0.2.5 with Extension 0.4.22. Older extensions fail explicitly when asked
to perform an unsupported attempt. Existing supported actions retain their
normal verification. No selectors, arbitrary coordinates, arbitrary scripts or
CDP Input are exposed.

Evidence and limits

  • The matching source candidate passed 518 automated tests: 212 Node package,
    288 Extension and 18 rendering-diagnostic tests.
  • Both browsers passed the event-only card, no-effect attempt/journal and
    disabled-target checks on candidate
    2d7573bcd5d14b2f76392378df4073851b9b077bae5d7c11fe0b2387fe402eea.
  • Chrome and Edge Mixamo checks dispatched one Big Vegas card attempt and then
read the Big Vegas heading and DOWNLOAD button. Receipts remained
outcome_unknown with a verification timeout. No download or automatic
second click was performed. This is not a verified card-selection receipt.
  • Complete same-candidate interruption, revocation and performance acceptance
remains unfinished. Comparative visual-accuracy evaluation is incomplete.
Browser semantics, video, short 3D observations and click attempts remain
experimental. No speed, superiority, token-saving or full-coverage claim is
made. Dynamic uploads and rich-text editing are not claimed fixed here.

Wayne explicitly approved Chrome store submission and npm publication of this
exact release pair on September 21, 2026 with these gaps disclosed. The local
authority record is media-observation-boundary revision 12, R-021. This approval
does not change runtime permissions or count missing checks as passed.

Update

npx -y @nanlogic/saccade@0.2.5 install

Reconnect the MCP client to load the new tool schema. Confirm the Extension
version in capabilities: a store submission is not proof that Google has
approved or delivered the update. Do not expect click_attempt to work with
an older installed Extension.

Publication status is verified separately from these release notes. The npm
release workflow publishes only after testing its tagged package source.
