MCP 0.2.7 / Extension 0.4.24 — experimental release
Wayne approved this experimental release on September 25, 2026. Browser-store
submission and approval are separate from this release; store availability is
not verified here.
The source tag contains the MCP package update. The separately attached Extension
ZIP is identified by the candidate digest below; this is not an Extension source
tag.
Changes
- Acknowledging browser-semantic updates no longer synchronously recompiles the
page. Updates use the existing coalesced scheduler. Semantic changes revoke
old authority immediately; source resets request a full projection. Rebuilt
authority is sent even if the visible fields did not change. - A failed projection falls back once. If both projections fail, an empty,
explicitly failed reset replaces old Truth when transport is available;
partial local action bindings are always cleared. - A query whose requested objects never appear reports a semantic-condition
timeout after AX settles, rather than incorrectly reporting startup failure. - Current benchmark mode uses balanced tool guidance, explicit browser identity
and recorded browser modes. Historical reports are preserved. - Documentation distinguishes published npm, Extension artifacts, store status
and experimental features, with a checked release-status block. - Capabilities, health and doctor expose the running Broker's package version,
so a new adapter joining an older Broker cannot silently pass benchmark preflight.
Validation
- 523 automated tests passed. Chrome and Edge each completed 30 local control
trials using the same Extension candidate. - Ordinary MP4 sampling returned eight timestamped frames in both browsers.
Overview now moves past isolated frame timeouts and reserves time for the
existing player route after repeated decoder timeouts. Requested thumbnail
width is respected; unknown duration is not mislabeled as a live stream. - GitHub background reads can still time out. Steam MSE trailer extraction is
unresolved. Full visual-accuracy and lifecycle acceptance remains incomplete. - Candidate:
b4f2ff52432b9af4da471a940ec87b5c61dbdcda80d9c111da40a4498ed6e9b3.
The owner-approved exception does not mark missing tests passed or change any
privacy, consent, isolation or no-replay rule.
See the live work record. Unit tests are
not live browser proof. Reproduce and retest the heavy-page failure with this
exact candidate before claiming it fixed. No new speed, accuracy or token-saving
claim is made. Video/3D observation and browser semantics remain experimental;
low-level WebGL diagnostics remain an application-side prototype.
