OpenNotchi v0.19.0
Added
- Smart Calculator tab (macOS): type math or everyday phrases and get the answer as you type. Handles percent phrases ("15% dari 200rb", "diskon 30% dari 1,5jt", "200rb + ppn 11%"), Indonesian shorthand (rb, jt, m), and live currency conversion ("100 usd to idr") with a live rate board against IDR. Also converts units (length, weight, temperature, data, time, volume, speed, area) and does date maths ("hari sampai 25 des", "30 hari lagi", "umur 1999-05-10"). Comes with a Basic / Scientific keypad.
- Proper notes (macOS): the Notes tab now holds many notes, with search, pinning and delete. Notes are saved to Application Support, and the old scratchpad is moved over automatically.
Changed
200 + 10%in the calculator now gives 220, the same as a phone calculator.
Fixed
- Notch gestures (macOS): one scroll now does one thing. A volume or brightness scroll that drifts sideways no longer skips the track or switches tabs, and a tab swipe that drifts down no longer changes the volume.
- Now playing stuck (macOS): Spotify on other devices no longer keeps showing the last track forever after a dropped connection or rate limit, and polling backs off when Spotify asks it to. A busy or hung music app can no longer freeze every player and the playback buttons for up to two minutes.
- Spotify login diagnostics (macOS): a failed Keychain save or an automatic sign-out is now written to the log instead of passing silently.
Install (macOS): open OpenNotchi.dmg and drag OpenNotchi to Applications.
The app isn't notarized yet, so on first launch go to
System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
Install (Windows): run OpenNotchi-Windows-setup.exe.
If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info and Run anyway.

OpenNotchi v0.17.0
Added
- Dev tab on Windows: localhost ports with their process (open a dev server in the browser, or stop it), CPU, RAM and network speed, and the latest GitHub Actions runs of any public repo.
- CI builds (macOS): GitHub Actions runs in Dev tools, a banner when a workflow passes or fails, and local builds (xcodebuild, swift build, cargo, web builds) beside the closed notch.
- Focus soundscapes (macOS): rain, brown noise, vinyl crackle and a hearth, mixed to taste, and started automatically with a focus session.
- Notchi grows up (macOS): new moods for focus, caffeine, snacks and being poked too much, and accessories to wear: ears, a sprout, a crown, glasses or a halo.
- Gesture settings (macOS): skip tracks, volume, brightness and tab switching can each be turned on or off.
Changed
- Gestures (macOS) only work on the notch itself: scrolling in the menu bar beside it, or inside a tab's lists and carousels, is no longer taken over. A gesture you turn off no longer acts as another one.
- Settings › Features (macOS) is split into tabs, and each settings pane has a header.
- The battery is hidden in the open notch by default, since the menu bar already shows it. Turn it back on in Settings › General.

OpenNotchi v0.16.0
Added

Changed
- Ask AI (Windows): the AI tab opens taller, so chat messages have room above the composer.
- Header actions (Windows): the buttons on the right follow the tab: lyrics, share and full-screen player on Music, keep awake on Notes.

Fixed

- Saving, copying and sharing a lyric card (Windows) failed whenever the accent came from the album cover.
- The Windows pill no longer opens when the cursor only passes near it, and it now closes reliably when the cursor leaves.
- Opening the full-screen player (Windows) could freeze every other pill action until restart.
