Search Stack has a new hamster icon, comparing two search results just like you. It appears in the Mac app icon, the compact app header, and the README.

Install or update

Apple silicon · macOS 13 or newer · Developer ID signed and Apple-notarized.

brew install --cask nanomader/tap/search-stack

brew upgrade --cask nanomader/tap/search-stack

Or download the DMG and drag Search Stack into Applications. Confirm Open if macOS asks about the first launch. No security workaround is needed.

Search behavior, saved settings, and independent engine sessions are unchanged. This release also simplifies the README installation instructions.

Built and tested locally; GitHub Actions remains disabled. SHA-256 checksums are attached.

Verified: five unit tests, seven source and seven packaged end-to-end scenarios, Day/Night/compact icon rendering, strict signatures, and Gatekeeper acceptance of both extracted downloads.

Public Homebrew upgrade and normal macOS startup also passed. All seven scenarios and the logo check passed against the installed app, with quarantine intact and no security override.
