Wisp 1.0

The first release of Wisp, a free, open-source clipboard manager for macOS. It remembers everything you copy and gives it back when you press ⌃⌘V.

Install

1. Open Wisp.dmg and drag Wisp onto the Applications folder.
2. Open it. Wisp isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS will block the first launch. To allow it:
   • Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to Wisp, or
   • run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Wisp.app in Terminal.
3. Press ⌃⌘V anywhere to open your clipboard history.
4. Optional: to have picked items pasted straight into the app you were using, allow Wisp in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.

What's in 1.0

• Clipboard history for text, rich text, images and files: the last 300 items, plus unlimited pinned items and snippets
• ⌃⌘V from any app, search as you type, ⌘1–⌘9 quick paste, ⌥↩ paste as plain text
• Snippets: save any item with ⌘S, or write a new one with ⌘N
• Smart detection of JSON, SQL, JWTs, UUIDs, links, emails and colors, with syntax-colored previews
• 20 transforms (⌘K): format or minify JSON, format SQL, SQL IN (...) lists, decode JWTs, change case, trim, sort, dedupe, URL and Base64 encode/decode, generate UUIDs and timestamps
• Private: no network access, no analytics, no accounts. Copies that password managers mark as concealed are skipped.
• Menu bar menu with the 10 most recent items, Pause Recording, Clear History, copy sounds and Open at Login
