Installation

  1. Download Dictly-v1.1.0-apple-silicon.zip
  2. Extract the zip file
  3. Remove quarantine: xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine Dictly.app
  4. Move Dictly.app to your Applications folder
  5. Launch Dictly and grant permissions when prompted
  6. Add your API key in settings (Groq, OpenAI, or local AI)
  7. Start dictating with fn key!

Requirements

  • macOS 15.0 or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) Mac
  • API key (Groq, OpenAI) or local AI setup

Usage

  • Basic dictation: Hold fn key → speak → release
  • AI enhancement: Hold fn + shift → speak → release
