Entries, photos and voice notes carry over automatically — nothing to export or import.

Upgrading from Memory Journal 1.0.0? keepsake installs alongside the old app rather than replacing it. Both read the same journal, so once keepsake opens you can drag the old "Memory Journal" app to the Trash.

Install

• Mac — download the .dmg, open it, drag keepsake to Applications. It should open with no warning.
• Windows — download and run the .exe (installs for your user, no admin needed). Windows may still show "Windows protected your PC" — click More info → Run anyway. The Windows build isn't code-signed yet.

Memory Journal v1.0.0

Mac: Open the .dmg and drag Memory Journal into Applications. The first time you open it, macOS will warn that it can't verify the app — that's because we're an independent app, not registered with Apple. On macOS 15+: try to open it once, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway". On older macOS: right-click the app and choose Open. You'll only do this once.

Windows: Run the installer. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" then "Run anyway" — the warning appears because we're a new independent app and fades as more people use it.
