This is the first draft agenda when I was asked to do this intro - most of it is covered in the [project board] but I'm popping it here to try an cover anything I might have missed.

Ask questions (I don't know everything, not even nearly everything)
It's not the right way the right way, or the best way, or even the only way of using Slack or Github. It's just a way.
I'll throw in some tips that might be useful - but you'll probably learn better ways
There's lots I don't know and plenty that's beyond the scope of this talk - but try it out
Create a sandbox in your personal Github and see what you can do
Take advantage of the fact that Slack lets you talk to yourself
Get the Slack app on your phone and you'll have a neat way of sharing things between devices
You can set yourself "away" and set times not to get notifications
