Project Summary
This project is developed as part of the requirements for a "Software Engineering" course at the Software Engineering department at "Azrieli" - College of Engineering, Jerusalem, Israel.
Web Application that developed by the majority of the MEAN STACK principles and platforms. We developed an efficient managing application for the . The Application will be used as a platform to invite tables in restaurant and
Our application is an absolute SPA (Single Page Application). User can't move between pages unless he use the application GUI.
We had an experience with Version Control System using Github. We had an experience with project management and issues management. We had an experience with Agile approach. We had learned a lot of new technologies: Developing with MEAN stack principles:
- NodeJS - Server Side
- MongoDB - Non SQL database
- Angular - For client side
The team worked together great with good chemistry which made the working environment very easy to work. The project was very interesting to work on and for a good cause which made the team work harder. We have achieved all of our goals for the app including extra features that the client asked specifically. In the project we had a good experience with assemble a project from scratch. In the project we had a good experienced with managing a project from the requirements step to the final product step. In the project we had a good experience with dealing with costumer which have its own requirements. We had some problems along the way, both from the costumer's side and from the team's side -We managed to fix them all. We managed to achieve our main goal. Sticking In The Team Values
Team Values:
"Customer Orientation" - Listen and respond to our costumers, suppliers and stakeholders. "Results Orientation" - Set challenging and competitive goals. "Quality" - Achieve the highest standards of excellence! "Customer Orientation" - We had conducted several team-client meetings that included: Detailed and precise SRS (Software Requirements Specification) to meet client's demands. We had presented an initial prototype and a future plan to our client in order to discuss the final product. We had worked with our client side by side, with full mutual cooperation through all the period. "Results Orientation" - We had set a challenging and competitive goals:
"Quality" - We preformed the next to ensure the highest quality: We tested the application in the end of each iteration. We reviewed each other code and results. Retrospective
During the project we had some lessons for future:
The Agile approach for handling with such a project was a success. We will preserve this approach for our future team projects. The MEAN stack principles are simple to learn, very efficient and highly progressive. The usage of those principles and platforms has lead us to reach the highest quality we had demanded. We are planing to continue developing this application as volunteers, and to add more future features. The code will stay open sourced :)
