Polyweft 0.2.1: inspect the combination
Polyweft now puts the combined geometry beside the edits that produced it. The Flanges example exposes four recorded surface states, selected face pairs and exact retained witnesses, with a full-width mobile inspection view. The README opens with the actual workflow and includes reproducible capture inputs.
This patch delivers the same reviewed interface in the installed wheel and both portable examples. Source archives now include their JPG/GIF/JSON presentation inputs. Original 0.2.0 downloads remain unchanged.
The portable examples retain their original Blender 4.5.14 native payloads and source-bound reports. This presentation release makes no new geometry-accuracy or clearance claim. Native algorithms and their limits are unchanged.
Validation: independent source and actual desktop/mobile review; fresh installed CLI and eight exact HTTP resources; wheel/source/portable member hashes and recovery; Python 3.11 and 3.14 CI with native Blender gates passed at 4b6e616.
Downloads include the wheel, source archive, both portable examples and SHA256SUMS.txt. The existing hosted Tide and Flanges studios use this interface.
Polyweft 0.2: inspect what a clean mesh merge introduces
A clean Blender field merge can still create crossing surfaces. Polyweft 0.2 compares the same face pair in the ancestor, both edited branches and the configured result, using actual native Blender tessellation in each state.
Try the four-state inspection studio · Review the original Tide merge
- Exact intersection witnesses, face history and accepted vertex edits bound to source hashes and explicit choices.
- Recorded native triangles for quads and concave polygons. Changing a choice immediately disables stale inspection evidence while retaining decision export.
- Bounded work and explicit unknown/incomplete results. Shared-edge suppression requires a real boundary edge in both parent polygons.
- Original source-bearing Flanges bundle: 16 independent edits, zero competing values, separated inputs and 20 crossing face pairs in their combination. Its saved native output was freshly reopened and matched the inspected surface.
Install the wheel with Python 3.11+ and use your local Blender executable:
polyweft plan base.blend left.blend right.blend --output review --blender /path/to/blender
polyweft inspect review --output inspected --blender /path/to/blender
polyweft studio inspected --port 0Add --decisions decisions.json to inspect a review with conflicts. The portable examples redact local paths; recapture a local plan from their native source files before inspecting or applying. Download SHA256SUMS.txt alongside the assets to check file integrity.
Verification: 32 Python tests, including actual native capture/save/reopen and HTTP boundaries, and 13 Node controls passed on Linux with official Blender 4.5.14 LTS under Python 3.11 and 3.14, and locally with a pinned Blender 5.3 Alpha build. Independent agent review compared 492 triangle pairs with a separate exact test, reproduced native tessellation cases and rechecked the corrected shared-diagonal regression. Actual browser choices were exported and applied by the installed package outside the checkout with fresh reopen and unchanged input bytes. Review was AI-assisted; it is not a separate human approval.
Inspection covers represented surfaces between distinct faces of the admitted target mesh. It does not establish containment, within-polygon distortion, other objects, evaluated modifiers, animation, physical clearance or safety. Prepared stable topology and trusted Blender/assets remain required. All data outside the admitted merge payload comes from the right branch. No dependency, account or cloud service is required at runtime beyond Python and local Blender.
Polyweft 0.1.0 — native mesh reconciliation
Polyweft combines prepared, topology-preserving Blender vertex, UV-corner and material-input edits into a new native scene. Competing values require explicit ancestor/left/right choices. Everything outside the admitted payload comes from the destination/right scene.
Try the review studio and download the native Tide example below. Install the wheel with python -m pip install polyweft-0.1.0-py3-none-any.whl, then generate a local plan from the three example branch files before applying. Public review plans replace machine paths with labels; exported decisions alone do not save a .blend.
The example ZIP includes actual original native inputs, a freshly reopened merged scene, relative PNG texture, review UI, complete corresponding source, GPL license and a 51-file manifest. SHA256SUMS.txt binds all three downloads.
Validation: 15 Python checks including real Blender integration and HTTP boundaries, plus five Node checks, passed on official Blender 4.5.14 LTS/Linux under Python 3.11 and 3.14. Independent review reproduced and fixed muted-node/UV-selector admission gaps and concave-face display errors. Browser-exported choices were applied through an installed wheel outside the checkout. Native production source and public example source match the tested implementation.
Requires Python 3.11+ and a trusted Blender executable. Windows and official macOS stable-runtime combinations remain untested. Unprepared files, topology changes, shape keys, linked targets and unsupported target structure refuse. This is a scoped payload merger; native verification does not establish artistic quality, geometric validity or arbitrary-file security.
