Seedcraft v0.2.0: a seed kept as a string of things — beads, bricks, cards — and read back. Draft format v0 — it may still change.

New since v0.1.0

  • The dictionary is kept apart from the sequence, with no PIN; an honest account of what it protects (the string is the seed; the dictionary only hides it).
  • The web tool redesigned: a start page, tabs, two columns; and QR by hand, an interactive guide from each piece to the squares of the QR code.
  • Making a dictionary piece by piece, with a photo each and a checking round; random padding; how many pieces to buy.

In the zip

  • seedcraft-sequences.html — the web tool (English/Spanish). A single file that cannot connect anywhere. Open it on an offline computer — or do it all by hand:
  • seedcraft-by-hand-*.pdf — the manual: from a sequence to its QR code and back with a pencil, no computer.
  • seedqr-templates-*.pdf — templates to copy a SeedQR (Standard and Compact).
  • SPEC-sequences.md — the specification.

Verify before opening it: sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS (macOS: shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS). The zip is reproducible: python3 tools/bundle.py v0.2.0 from this tag gives the same bytes.
