What's New
Buffer I/O
Read and write .xlsx files entirely in memory without touching the filesystem.
Rust:
Workbook::save_to_buffer()— serialize a workbook to aVec<u8>Workbook::open_from_buffer(&[u8])— open a workbook from a byte slice
Node.js (@sheetkit/node):
Workbook.writeBufferSync()/Workbook.writeBuffer()— serialize to aBufferWorkbook.openBufferSync(data)/Workbook.openBuffer(data)— open from aBuffer
This is useful for serverless environments, streaming pipelines, and anywhere you want to avoid temporary files.
Formula Helpers
set_cell_formula(sheet, cell, formula)— convenience method to set a formula on a single cellfill_formula(sheet, range, formula)— fill a single-column range (e.g.D2:D10) with a formula, automatically adjusting relative row references for each row while preserving absolute references ($A$1)
Internal Improvements
- Added
shift_cell_references_with_abs()helper that respects absolute ($) markers when shifting cell references - Fixed
