@necolas in case this wasn't clear, the current document is not markdown syntax at all

I've seen === before, can't remember where -- maybe trac wiki or rdoc?

I just don't like Markdown-heading formatted changelogs on GitHub

gotcha -- so in that case maybe rename the file from .md to .txt? :)

I use CHANGELOG.md everywhere at the moment, sometimes I link to issues, so I keep the files as markdown.
