This hotfix reduces idle NNTP connection pressure on installations with large provider connection allowances.

Fixes

  • Health-only and backup-plus-health providers now prewarm 50% of their configured connections instead of the full allowance.
  • Provider pools can still expand to their configured maximum when active work demands it.
  • This reduces startup authentication pressure, idle socket count, and baseline memory use.
