What changed

  • nmts create can spend a one-time pass taken from the environment variable NMTS_AGENT_PASS. It
    makes the NMTS key on this machine, registers the account with the pass in place of the browser
    step, makes an API key (read, write, spend) and stores both in the credentials file. A pass works
    once and for an hour. If this machine already keeps a key, create refuses before spending the pass.

Install

From the registry:

npm install -g @needmoretruth/nmts-cli@0.50.0

Or straight from this repository, without the registry:

npm install -g github:needmoretruth/nmts-cli#v0.50.0

Or, without a clone, from the tarball attached below:

npm install -g https://github.com/needmoretruth/nmts-cli/releases/latest/download/nmts.tgz

Node 22 or newer. Nothing is compiled by a C compiler and there is no native build
step; the encryption engine is a WebAssembly module carried in the package.
