Release list
v0.6.8
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 running natively on Windows, and on Linux and the Steam Deck through Proton: the game's code recompiled for PC, with a native renderer. 60 fps, up to 4K; 720p at 60 fps on the Steam Deck. Matches load in about 15 seconds.
v0.6.8: your own entrance music (User Playlist)
- New: User Playlist works. On the Xbox 360 you could use songs from the console's hard drive as entrance music, and that option was greyed out here. Now you can use your own songs.
- See what's new before you update: in the settings menu, the first press on Update now shows what the new version changes. Press again to install it.
- The "Update available" notice at startup now says what the update is about, and shows for 7 seconds instead of 12.
How to add your music:
- Open the game's folder (the one with
svr2010.exe). There's a new folder calledmusic. - Inside
music, make a new folder and name it what you want to see in the game, e.g.My Theme. - Copy your songs into it as MP3 files (WAV works too). One song is fine.
- In the game, where you choose an entrance's music, pick User Playlist, then your playlist. You hear it right away.
- Save as usual. In matches it plays during the entrance.
music\
My Theme\
my song.mp3
Tips:
- Number your files (
01,02...) to choose the song order. - Other formats (M4A, AAC, FLAC, WMA, OGG) need converting to MP3 first.
- On the Steam Deck, copy music in from Desktop Mode.
- Updates never touch the
musicfolder.
Full step-by-step guide: README: Your own entrance music. It's also in music\PUT YOUR MUSIC HERE.txt in the download.
Updating: open the settings menu (F1, or Back + Start on a controller), go down to Update and press A twice; your saves are kept and backed up first, and the music folder is created for you. On v0.4 or older, download the zip below and extract it over your folder (your .iso, userdata and dlc stay where they are).
You need your own copy of the game: a disc image (.iso, about 7.3 GB) of your own SvR 2010 disc, USA / Europe release. None of the disc's files are in this download, and this project does not condone piracy.
Download
SVR2010-NATIVE.zip under Assets below (not Source code, which is the developer source).
Windows
- Extract the zip into a folder of its own (for example
C:\Games\SVR2010-NATIVE). - Copy your
.isointo that folder, next tosvr2010.exe. - Run
svr2010.exe(if Windows warns, More info > Run anyway). The game finds the disc image by itself and starts.
A controller is recommended: keyboard controls are included but not tested yet.
Linux / Steam Deck (Proton)
Extract the zip, copy your .iso into that folder next to svr2010.exe (and any DLC into its dlc folder), add svr2010.exe to Steam as a non-Steam game with Proton Experimental, and start it (from Game Mode on the Deck). Step by step: README.
v0.6.7
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 running natively on Windows, and on Linux and the Steam Deck through Proton: the game's code recompiled for PC, with a native renderer. 60 fps, up to 4K; 720p at 60 fps on the Steam Deck. Matches load in about 15 seconds.
v0.6.7: a new look for the settings menu
- The settings menu (F1) has a new look: it now uses the same pixel font as the FPS counter, with a white title.
- The menu now credits the port: PC port made by nefariousjosiah.
Updating: open the settings menu (F1, or Back + Start on a controller), go down to Update and press A twice; your saves are kept and backed up first. On v0.4 or older, download the zip below and extract it over your folder (your .iso, userdata and dlc stay where they are).
You need your own copy of the game: a disc image (.iso, about 7.3 GB) of your own SvR 2010 disc, USA / Europe release. None of the disc's files are in this download, and this project does not condone piracy.

v0.6.6 (hotfix)
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 running natively on Windows, and on Linux and the Steam Deck through Proton: the game's code recompiled for PC, with a native renderer. 60 fps, up to 4K; 720p at 60 fps on the Steam Deck. Matches load in about 15 seconds.
v0.6.6 (hotfix): edited outfits keep their colours at a distance
- Fixed: edited outfits changing colours from a distance (follow-up to v0.6.5, issue #9). Up close a mask looked right, but further away it turned mostly the wrong colour. At a distance the game uses smaller copies of the outfit texture, which it builds in the corner of a larger image and then copies out. The Xbox 360 copies that corner as it is. The port shrank the whole image into each smaller copy instead, so the wrong parts of the outfit showed. It now copies the corner, like the console.
- v0.6.5 fixed the outfits themselves (rainbow stripes and white pieces). This update completes that fix.
Updating: open the settings menu (F1, or Back + Start on a controller), go down to Update and press A twice; your saves are kept and backed up first. On v0.4 or older, download the zip below and extract it over your folder (your .iso, userdata and dlc stay where they are).

v0.6.5 (hotfix)
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 running natively on Windows, and on Linux and the Steam Deck through Proton: the game's code recompiled for PC, with a native renderer. 60 fps, up to 4K; 720p at 60 fps on the Steam Deck. Matches load in about 15 seconds.
v0.6.5 (hotfix): edited outfits look right in matches
- Fixed: edited and created outfits looking wrong in matches (issue #9). An outfit could look right in Creation Center but show up as rainbow stripes, or with white pieces, once a match started. There were two causes:
- Match loading. When a match loads, the game draws each edited outfit into a texture on the graphics card. It then reads that texture back with the CPU to compress it. The port never copied the graphics card's result back where the game reads it, so the game compressed leftover data. The result is now copied back while the match loads (about 0.2 seconds in total), so frame rates during play are unchanged.
- Texture size. The game drew the outfit into its 2048x1024 texture while the screen's smaller depth buffer was still attached. The Xbox 360 doesn't mind that, but on PC only the screen-sized part was drawn. The port now leaves that depth buffer out, since the game doesn't use it for this drawing.
- Thanks to yazidtalbi for the report and the save file, which made it reproducible.

v0.6.4 (hotfix)
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 running natively on Windows, and on Linux and the Steam Deck through Proton: the game's code recompiled for PC, with a native renderer. 60 fps, up to 4K; 720p at 60 fps on the Steam Deck. Matches load in about 15 seconds.
v0.6.4 (hotfix): a Controllers setting
- New setting: Controllers (settings menu: F1, or Back + Start on a controller, Share + Options on PlayStation).
- Separate players (the default, same as before): each controller is its own player, for local multiplayer.
- All on player 1: every controller controls player 1. Use this if you play alone and the game says player 2 is disconnected, or your controller stops responding. A controller that reconnects, or shows up twice through Steam Input / DS4Windows / DSX, can otherwise become player 2.
- For local multiplayer, keep Controllers on Separate players.
Updating: open the settings menu (F1, or Back + Start on a controller), go down to Update and press A twice; your saves are kept and backed up first. On v0.4 or older, download the zip below and extract it over your folder (your .iso, userdata and dlc stay where they are).

v0.6.3 (hotfix)
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 running natively on Windows, and on Linux and the Steam Deck through Proton: the game's code recompiled for PC, with a native renderer. 60 fps, up to 4K; 720p at 60 fps on the Steam Deck. Matches load in about 15 seconds.
v0.6.3 (hotfix): the built-in AMD graphics fix now actually applies
- Fixed: v0.6.2 didn't actually apply its fix. v0.6.2 was meant to stop using a special shared-memory heap for the game's geometry on built-in AMD graphics on Windows, which can crash those chips at startup. But the renderer never read the new default, so the heap stayed on. It now reads the setting directly: the heap is off by default, and
bd_geometry_gpu_upload = truein the config turns it back on for anyone who wants it. Most desktop graphics cards never used that heap, so nothing changes for them. See issue #7; thanks to TheCrow32 for the log that showed it.
Updating: open the settings menu (F1, or Back + Start on a controller), go down to Update and press A twice; your saves are kept and backed up first. On v0.4 or older, download the zip below and extract it over your folder (your .iso, userdata and dlc stay where they are).

v0.6.2 (hotfix): no more startup crash on built-in AMD graphics
- Fixed: the game crashing right at startup on built-in AMD graphics on Windows (handhelds like the ROG Ally X, and laptops with "AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics"), in both Direct3D 12 and Vulkan. The renderer put the game's static geometry in a special shared-memory heap whenever the graphics driver offered it, and on those chips that crashed at the first frame. It now uses the normal upload heap, the same one desktop graphics cards always use. On built-in graphics both live in the same memory anyway, so nothing is lost. (For testing, it can still be turned back on with
bd_geometry_gpu_upload = truein the config.) See issue #5 and issue #7. - Thanks to everyone who sent
game.logfiles: they pointed straight at it.

v0.6.1
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 running natively on Windows, and on Linux and the Steam Deck through Proton: the game's code recompiled for PC, with a native renderer. 60 fps, up to 4K; 720p at 60 fps on the Steam Deck. Matches load in about 15 seconds.
v0.6.1: the see-through locker room door is fixed on NVIDIA
- Fixed: the Road to WrestleMania locker room door and the magazine on the chair looked see-through (speckled) on NVIDIA graphics cards. Those objects use the game's "alpha test", which keeps only fully opaque pixels. NVIDIA graphics cards blend the corner values across a triangle with a tiny rounding difference (0.99999994 instead of exactly 1.0), so about half the pixels failed the test and showed the corridor behind them. The Xbox 360 compares at 8-bit precision, where both values count as fully opaque. The port now does the same, so the door is solid on every graphics card. The same fix applies to anything else that used that test.
- Found with a frame capture on a GTX 1060, thanks to testing on NVIDIA hardware.
Updating: open the settings menu (F1, or Back + Start on a controller), go down to Update and press A twice; your saves are kept and backed up first. On v0.4 or older, download the zip below and extract it over your folder (your .iso, userdata and dlc stay where they are).

v0.6
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 running natively on Windows, and on Linux and the Steam Deck through Proton: the game's code recompiled for PC, with a native renderer. 60 fps, up to 4K; 720p at 60 fps on the Steam Deck. Matches load in about 15 seconds.
v0.6: a massive performance update, and a new renderer as the default
Direct3D 12 is now the default renderer on Windows. The game now has two renderers. svr2010.exe draws with Direct3D 12, and on the Steam Deck and Linux it starts svr2010_vulkan.exe (Vulkan) by itself, so Deck players don't need to change anything. You can switch in the settings menu (F1, or Back + Start on a controller) under Graphics API: Auto, Direct3D 12 or Vulkan. If one doesn't suit your graphics card, try the other. If a PC can't start Direct3D 12 at all, the game falls back to Vulkan by itself.
A steady 60 fps, without the first-time stutters:
- Shader work happens ahead of time. Every shader variant is prepared when the game is built (1,006 of them), and the graphics pipelines the game uses are compiled in the background while each scene loads, not in the middle of an entrance. Before, the first time an entrance or effect appeared it could stutter. On a GTX 1060 + i7-8700 test PC, the 10-second averages went from dipping to 54 to a flat 59–60, with one pipeline built mid-frame in the whole session instead of hundreds.
- The stored pipelines work on any PC.
pipelines.binis kept in a GPU-neutral form, so pipelines recorded on one PC, or with one graphics API, are ready on every other. - New setting: CPU priority. High lets the game go first when other programs (browser, recording, downloads) want the processor too. It helps on busy or weak PCs.
- Laptops: Auto resolution renders at 720p on built-in graphics (Intel UHD / Iris Xe, the Radeon in Ryzen laptops), so they hold 60. Laptops with two graphics chips now run the game on their dedicated graphics card.
- The settings menu shows what Auto picked, for example Auto (1440p) or Auto (Direct3D 12).
Everything from v0.5 is included: in-game updates, PlayStation controllers in the settings menu, 60 fps on lower-end PCs, free DLC and Road to WrestleMania cutscene audio.
Updating: on v0.5 or newer, open the settings menu, go down to Update and press A twice; your saves are kept and backed up first. On v0.4 or older, download the zip below and extract it over your folder (your .iso, userdata and dlc stay where they are).
Known issue: in Road to WrestleMania on NVIDIA graphics cards, the locker room door and the magazine on the chair can look see-through (speckled). It's cosmetic and is being looked into.
You need your own copy of the game: a disc image (.iso, about 7.3 GB) of your own SvR 2010 disc, USA / Europe release. None of the disc's files are in this download, and this project does not condone piracy.

v0.5.1
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 running natively on Windows, and on Linux and the Steam Deck through Proton: the game's code recompiled for PC, with a native Vulkan renderer. 60 fps, up to 4K; 720p at 60 fps on the Steam Deck. Matches load in about 15 seconds.
v0.5.1: PlayStation controllers open the settings menu
- Share + Options on a PlayStation controller (DualSense, DualShock 4) now opens the settings menu, and the d-pad / left stick, Cross and Circle work inside it. Before, only Xbox-style controllers could open it (Back + Start), so PlayStation players had to use F1 on the keyboard. Switch Pro and other controllers the game supports work too.
- Tip: if a second player shows up with one controller plugged in, an app on your PC (Steam Input, DS4Windows, DSX) is also presenting it as an Xbox controller. Close that app or turn off its Xbox emulation; this port reads PlayStation controllers directly.
Updating: open the settings menu, go down to Update and press A (Cross) twice; your saves are kept and backed up first. On v0.4 or older, download the zip below and extract it over your folder (your .iso, userdata and dlc stay where they are).
