Mastering Blockchain Scalability v1.1.3
Mastering Blockchain Scalability 1.1.3
This release renames the book to Mastering Blockchain Scalability and ships a print-edition candidate.
- Book, repository, reader site, cover, citations, and Zenodo metadata renamed from "Blockchain Scalability Book" to "Mastering Blockchain Scalability" - future Zenodo archives land under the new title.
- New site URL: https://neilydhan.github.io/Mastering-Blockchain-Scalability/ (old URLs redirect).
- 365-page 7x10in print interior candidate (KDP paperback shape): title page, copyright page, table of contents with resolved page numbers, chapters opening on recto pages, generated index.
- Assets rebuilt from the tagged commit: 435-page letter PDF (109,443 words), HTML archive, manifest.json with build provenance, and SHA256SUMS covering every asset.
The attached PDF, print interior, and HTML archive were built from the tagged commit with mdBook 0.4.52; see manifest.json for full build provenance.
v1.1.2
Blockchain Scalability Book 1.1.2
This release adds the reader-facing website, privacy-first analytics, and a print-edition candidate.
- Reader-first mdBook site on GitHub Pages (moved from legacy Jekyll branch deploy to GitHub Actions): https://neilydhan.github.io/Blockchain-Scalability-Book/
- Simple Analytics wiring on every page (cookie-free, privacy-first; collection starts once the site is registered in the Simple Analytics dashboard).
- 365-page 7x10in print interior candidate (KDP paperback shape): title page, copyright page, two-level table of contents, chapters opening on recto pages, running heads, and a 141-entry back-of-book index. See
PUBLISHING.mdfor the gates before KDP upload. - Social preview (OG/Twitter) meta and image, plus cover wrap mockup sources.
The standard PDF is byte-identical to the v1.1.1 build (book content unchanged): 420 pages, US Letter, with cover, front matter, printed table of contents, and the 880-entry bookmark outline.
Assets:
blockchain-scalability-book-v1.1.2.pdf- standard reading PDF (420 pages, letter).blockchain-scalability-book-v1.1.2-print-interior-7x10.pdf- print interior (365 pages, 7x10in).manifest.jsonandSHA256SUMS- build metadata and checksums.

Blockchain Scalability Book v1.1.1
Blockchain Scalability Book 1.1.1
This patch fixes the PDF's front matter and navigation.
- Adds a cover, title page, and copyright/version page in standard order.
- Adds a six-page printed table of contents for chapters and main sections, with verified page numbers and clickable entries.
- Uses lowercase Roman numbering for front matter and restarts Arabic numbering at Chapter 1.
- Adds running headers and page footers, with no page number on the cover.
- Adds a fully nested 880-entry PDF bookmark outline covering headings through level 3.
The attached PDF and HTML archive were built from source commit 1c0e3c9564af570ea9b8aba8923ebe36d0033ed5. Automated checks confirmed 390 printed TOC destinations, all 880 bookmark destinations and hierarchy, 0 replacement characters, and 0 blank pages. Representative front-matter, TOC, chapter-opening, and mid-book pages were visually inspected.
Blockchain Scalability Book 1.1.0
Blockchain Scalability Book 1.1.0
Version 1.1 grounds the book's mechanisms in systems readers can inspect and use. Ten core chapters now include named case studies with architecture, end-to-end transaction or batch traces, trust and upgrade assumptions, observable evidence, and failure paths.
Named protocol coverage
- Arbitrum Nitro and BoLD, ZKsync Era, OP Mainnet, Base, Starknet, and Scroll
- ERC-4337, MEV-Boost and Flashbots, Espresso, Across, CoW Protocol, and Succinct Prover Network
- DiemBFT and AptosBFT, Sui Mysticeti, Tendermint and CometBFT
- Celestia, EigenDA, and Avail on one fixed data-availability workload
- Solana, Sui, and Aptos parallel-execution traces
- NEAR cross-shard receipts and the IBC packet lifecycle
- Polygon PoS bridge and checkpoint security
- Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana on a fixed payment workload
- CryptoKitties congestion compared with a production rollup workload
- An OP Stack deployment using Celestia data availability
Academic-review corrections
A publication-grade review corrected the HotStuff finality model, updated Sui to the integrated Mysticeti design, dated PeerDAS after Fusaka activation, separated rollup proof acceptance from Layer-1 finality, made cross-shard messaging explicitly asynchronous, completed the committee-capture probability calculation, labeled OP Alt-DA beta, expanded EigenDA threshold and recovery assumptions, corrected Polygon's current architecture, and tightened MEV-Boost and Across failure paths.
The review also expanded first-use acronyms, exercises and glossary entries, added accessibility metadata to all original SVG figures, and improved isolated PDF builds.
