v2.0.0
What's new
Contact Center Queue Callbacks
The updated Contact Center module lets callers request a callback instead of remaining on hold.
Highlights
- Offer callbacks after a configurable waiting period.
- Let callers confirm their number or enter another number and record their name.
- Preserve accumulated queue priority.
- Connect an available agent first, then call the customer.
- Require the customer to press 1 before connecting.
- Configure greetings, retry intervals, maximum attempts, and daily closing time.
- Review callback history and cancel pending requests from the dashboard.
Queue and Agent Synchronization Across Servers
FS PBX 2.0.0 introduces native synchronization of queue settings, agent settings, assignments, and agent availability across redundant FreeSWITCH servers.
With the standard local FreeSWITCH configuration, each server maintains its own call-center runtime data. Replicating the PBX database alone does not keep those running configurations and agent statuses aligned. FS PBX now applies changes across approved servers automatically.
Highlights
- Synchronize queue settings and routing configuration across servers.
- Keep agent settings, queue assignments, tier levels, and positions aligned.
- Synchronize Available, On Break, and Logged Out status changes made from phones, the web interface, or automatic queue actions.
- Preserve current agent availability when configurations reload.
- Reconcile missed changes after connectivity returns.
Administrators can manage settings from one server, and agents’ availability follows them across the redundant system. Active calls and waiting callers remain on the server handling them.
High Availability Coordination
Added shared server controls for coordinating supported background work across redundant installations.
Highlights
- Select the server responsible for LDAP synchronization and Contact Center callbacks.
- Transfer ownership while allowing running work to finish.
- View approved servers, ownership, and active executions.
- With the updated Contact Center module, synchronize queues, agent assignments, and availability across approved servers.
Redesigned Streams Management
The new native Streams page replaces the legacy interface for managing network Music on Hold sources.
Highlights
- Create, edit, copy, enable, and delete account or shared global streams.
- Configure direct MP3 sources over HTTP or HTTPS.
- Preview audio in the browser.
- Check whether the required FreeSWITCH streaming module is running.
SIP Capture Settings
Added System Settings → SIP Capture for sending SIP signaling to a HOMER-compatible HEP collector.
Highlights
- Configure the collector address, port, and transport.
- Select which SIP profiles to capture.
- Assign a distinct capture ID to each server.
- Apply capture settings without restarting SIP profiles.
Provisioning Additions
- Added an optional Require serial number setting for Yealink RPS accounts that require both MAC address and serial number.
- Added a Grandstream HT80x V2 Fax provisioning template.
Improvements and fixes
- Track agents’ calls outside queues so eligible queues can avoid offering calls to busy agents.
- Improved agent updates and deletion cleanup across Basic Queues and Contact Center.
- Added callback-request status and clearer agent/customer call details to call history.
- AI agents can now transfer callers to enabled ring groups within the same account.
- Added native create and edit controls for FreeSWITCH module records.
- Improved module start/stop controls and configuration error reporting.
- FreeSWITCH variable changes now reload XML automatically.
- Password-reset emails now use the native customizable email-template system.
- Restored Postmark delivery details in Email Logs.
- Added automatic forwarding of received faxes and support for fax delivery to local extensions.
- Improved fax attachment validation and failure reporting.
- Voicemail retention now scans mailbox folders while preserving greetings and recorded names.
- Improved backup cleanup and scheduled-job timezone handling.
- Improved settings-page navigation and Brazilian Portuguese translations.
Upgrade notes
Existing Retell and LDAP configurations require attention.
The UUID schema migration recreates AI-provider integration settings and LDAP group mapping/membership tables. Preserve existing configuration before running migrations, then reconfigure Retell and LDAP group mappings and resynchronize the directory.
For redundant installations, run migrations independently on each database and refresh both replication subscriptions before enabling coordination. Callback and Contact Center synchronization features require the accompanying Contact Center module update.
