Updating Mail
Mail uses a separately installed backend. After updating nbshell, use Mail's explicit backend installation prompt if requested. Loading the plugin never silently downloads it. The required version is 0.10.4-nbshell.1, maintained by nbshell, with Rustls 0.23.45. Existing accounts, drafts, caches and keyring entries are preserved.
The backend release includes static Linux x86_64 and ARM64 packages, source/build evidence and checksums. Both architectures were tested again after public download, including the actual installer and API contract. The shell source pins their exact archive hashes.

Both Linux architectures are tested after publication; archive hashes are
anchored in the shell release and failed installs preserve the prior runtime. - Project status no longer executes configured Git content filters or inherits
Git environment overrides. Output is capped and timeout/cancellation cleans
up the complete command process group. - Bundled plugin installation excludes local build output and development caches,
validates the staged payload and retains transactional rollback. - Added the Work Desk Git regression suite to the complete release gate.
- Restored the complete bundled Mail validation target without claiming absent
standalone-app tests, and repaired the strict manual build's design link.
Beta testing
- Git summaries deliberately ignore nested submodule dirt and bypass content
filters; use the project's normal Git tools for filter-aware status. - Existing live visual acceptance is retained. Fresh-machine onboarding,

The shell installer archive has a SHA-256 sidecar and a Sigstore bundle. Verify it through the nbshell updater's existing workflow-identity policy. Backend-only releases are not shell updates.
Mail backend 0.10.4-nbshell.1 (nbshell rebuild)
Backend-only nbshell maintenance build. This is not a shell update.

nbshell 0.1.0-beta.11
Beta 11 updates the daily desktop with nblight/nbdark themes, wallpaper scheduling, quieter idle behavior, and fixes for tray menus, notifications, network panels and keyboard focus.
Fresh installation now carries the verified Umbriel source patch in the downloadable archive, installs the greeter sandbox dependency, handles console PATH correctly and stops on failed accepted package or restore steps.
Validation: the complete local release gate and GitHub validation passed, including installer/update fixtures, archive reconstruction contracts and 117 QML tests. The candidate was installed and smoke-tested in a running Umbriel session. Bare CachyOS hardware installation, multi-monitor hotplug and full suspend/recovery acceptance remain separate target-device checks; this is a prerelease, not a certified complete platform stack.
The installer archive includes a SHA-256 checksum and Sigstore verification bundle. See the installation guide and beta checklist.

The beta.8 updater path rejects a safe internal ISO symlink in its own signed archive, so installation stops before changing the system. Use the corrected v0.1.0-beta.9 release instead.
