NX Loom 0.31.0 — the Assist slider + field combing
One dial for how eager the tool is, and a brush for telling it where the flow should run.
- Assist (main panel, 0..1). Scales how much the tool offers — how many arcs Suggest proposes (12 at zero, up to 84 at one) and how hard and far the magnet pulls. Two rules keep it honest: 0.5 is exactly the behaviour you already know, and it only scales assists without a knob of their own — your explicit toggles always outrank it. Nothing ever runs unprompted, at any setting.
- Comb Field (D in the tool, or the Suggest panel). Drag strokes where the flow should run. Combs are hints, not geometry: they soft-pin the suggestion field — beating the surface's own curvature opinion, always losing to arcs you actually drew. Comb, then Suggest; the proposals follow your comb. Clear Combs resets to pure curvature.
