Wallet will not start sync...

Hello! Wallet will not sync at all. I have tried on 3 different macs, one does not go past 3.82% (18,322/400,000)

i have also tried uploading all the block data before height 2205457 in a file to ~Library/Application Support/Neuron/chains/mainnet/data but still nothing...

It might be due the migration process of the bundled node. Is this the first time you used Neuron? Or you have upgraded from the earlier version?

If you have upgraded from the earlier version, please try the following the steps:

1. Start up Neuron
2. Keep Neuron running for the migration process to complete.

Normally the migration process shouldn't take more than one hour. Once the migration has completed, the connection status in the nav bar at the bottom left should be either "synching" or "synced".

Yes this is the first time. It does not work with or without the bundled node. The furthest one Mac computer got to was 3.8% then it just said ‘connecting’ and would not go any further. I have attached the debug file on GitHub.

Ok, let's have a try again with the bundled node.

Please follow the steps below:

1. Exit Neuron app
2. Remove the app data folder ~/Library/Application Support/Neuron. MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR WALLET if you have any assets in the current wallet you used in Neuron.
3. Start Neuron app

Then Neuron should start the bundled node by itself. If everything goes well, you should see the "synching" status at the bottom left. Otherwise, please have a check with the network and share the debug log here again.

Based on the logs, the indexer seems failing to connecting to the bundled node. It throws error 'failed to lookup address information as it fails to recognize the localhost as 127.0.0.1 on your machines.

Please have a try to add an ip address mapping to the localhost by following this post. https://coderwall.com/p/ktbkea/play-framework-2-error-nodename-nor-servname-provided-or-not-known

where do i add/do this please? is it within neuron?

1. Open the Terminal app on your mac
2. Execute the command sudo echo "127.0.0.1 localhost" >> /etc/hosts
3. Restart Neuron

unfortunately i get -bash: /etc/hosts: Permission denied

Alternatively, try changing your default node url to 127.0.0.1
