What's Changed
NOTE: Breaking Release
- adds config, simulation model and simulator for a battery model
- The battery model was extended to support simulating various capacitors and replaces the previous capacitor-model
- available simulation models are
- the original KiBaM model
- the extended KiBaMPlus
- the simplified KiBaMSimple
- the actual fixed-point VirtualStorageModel for the PRU (based on KiBaMSimple)
- fixtures are generated via
virtual_storage_fixture_creator.py, try to mimic actual parts and cover- some LiPos & Lead Acid batteries
- ideal capacitors
- tantals
- MLCC (with planned DC-Bias-Effect)
- super-caps
core/examples/simulationscontains several virtual experiments comparing these models- fixed regressions in Shp.Reader() to restore performance of virtual harvester
- adapt py-port of virtual harvester to latest c-code
Modifications to KiBam by @jonkub:
- omit transient voltages (step 4 & 5, expensive calculation)
- omit rate capacity effect (step 1, expensive calculation)
- replace two expensive Fn by LuT
- mapping SoC to open circuit voltage (step 3)
- mapping SoC to series resistance (step 4)
- add self discharge resistance (step 2a)
- support signaling 0 % SoC by nulling voltage
Compared to the current shepherd capacitor (charge-based), it:
- supports emulation of battery types like lipo and lead acid (non-linear SOC-to-V_OC mapping)
- has a parallel leakage resistor instead of an oversimplified leakage current
- a series resistance is added to improve model matching
- as a drawback the open circuit voltage is quantified and shows steps (LuT with 128 entries)
