0.28.0-beta.2 (2026-10-23)
Follow-up beta to 0.28.0-beta.1. A message from a person now ends an active automation turn, so the person no longer waits for a long reminder or job turn.
Sessions
- A message from a person ends an active automation turn. A reminder, background-job result, webhook, or approval-notice turn is an automation turn. When the operator or a trusted person sends a message during such a turn, the turn ends after its current tool batch. The turn of the person then starts next, with the authority of that person. A message from an admitted
UntrustedExternalperson still waits until the automation turn ends (#2630).- The ended turn closes quietly and posts no fallback message. The daemon logs a Warning
turn_person_input_end_at_tool_batch. - Child runs that the ended turn started continue, and they report later.
- Before, the person waited until the whole automation turn ended.
- Upgrade impact: when a person interrupts a reminder turn, the reminder records success and does not run its remaining steps. If you need those steps, ask the agent to continue the work.

Internal
- Tests for the automation turn rule, and a fix for legacy replay: a background-job close with no input IDs no longer takes a legacy child continuation (#2631).
