Use the released Linux amd64 package, then run the self-contained demo:

curl -fsSLO https://github.com/netsec-ethz/debuglet/releases/download/v0.2.0/debuglet-v0.2.0-linux-amd64.tar.gz
curl -fsSLO https://github.com/netsec-ethz/debuglet/releases/download/v0.2.0/install.sh
curl -fsSLO https://github.com/netsec-ethz/debuglet/releases/download/v0.2.0/SHA256SUMS
sha256sum --check SHA256SUMS
sh ./install.sh --archive debuglet-v0.2.0-linux-amd64.tar.gz --checksums SHA256SUMS --version v0.2.0 --prefix "$HOME/.local"
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
dbl demo

dbl demo starts temporary local roles, runs a real WASM/TCP measurement, verifies the result, then cleans up. It requires no network service, account, compiler, root access, or hand-written daemon configuration.

For offline installation, prerequisites, and an exact explanation of installed paths, use the installation guide.

Run local roles separately

This is useful while learning the lifecycle or developing a debuglet:

# terminal 1
dbl dispatcher up

# terminal 2
dbl executor up --dispatcher http://127.0.0.1:9000

# terminal 3
dbl connect http://127.0.0.1:9000 --name local
dbl run --sample hello --wait

The local profile is deliberately loopback-only and credential-free. Do not use it for a networked service.

For port, executor connection, OAuth, readiness or state-version failures, start with the troubleshooting guide for the package you installed.
