Release candidate. NDManager 3.0.0-rc1 is the first NDManager release built on Qt 6 and the first since 2014. Please try it with your data and report problems in the issues. If nothing serious comes up, 3.0.0 follows with the same content.

The macOS and Windows packages are not signed yet. On macOS, if the application is blocked the first time, allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security. On Windows, SmartScreen may ask you to confirm (More info → Run anyway). SHA256SUMS lists the checksums of all files.

Changes since 2.0

Changed

  • Ported to Qt 6 (6.4 or newer). Qt4 and Qt5 are no longer supported. Source port by
    Théotime de Charrin (MOBS team).
  • Builds with CMake 3.16 and C++17 against libneurosuite 3 (formerly libklustersshared),
    which can also be built as part of NDManager (-DNDMANAGER_BUNDLE_NEUROSUITE=ON).
    First proposed by wuffi.
  • Query reports are shown with QTextBrowser, so NDManager no longer needs QtWebKit or
    QtWebEngine.
  • The default parameter file and templates are installed to share/ndmanager.
  • Installs a desktop entry and AppStream metadata under the ID io.github.neurosuite.NDManager.
  • Windows and macOS packages bundle the Qt runtime (Windows also the MSVC runtime) and show the handbook with the
    built-in viewer (QTextBrowser), as does the AppImage. The .deb uses QtWebEngine.
  • Licence file corrected to GPL-3.0-or-later, matching the source headers.

Fixed

  • New documents could not find the default parameter file on macOS and Windows (#1).
  • A default saved by the user was written to a different place than the one it was read
    from, so it was never used.

Removed

  • Qt4/Qt5 and KDE4 build code, the generated API documentation, and old packaging helpers.
