让 Gemini 官网读写选定本地文件夹的 Windows 工作台。本版继续作为 MIT 开源预览发布。

Changes / 改进

• Preferences now offers Enable file access on startup. It restores the saved folder and permission, defaults off, and fails closed for invalid roots. With it on, a manual pause lasts for the current run; folder/permission changes still pause immediately.

• New write_file(mode=create) refuses overwrites and creates missing parents. A simple new file can use workspace_info followed by one complete write.

• Short MCP guidance identifies ArgonDesk as the file connection and asks for complete detail, real animation and interactivity. It discourages unrelated file inspection and redundant readback.

• Successful results return one JSON text payload in content[0].text; the duplicate structuredContent copy is removed. Integrations using that field should update.

• A local 24,447-byte read produced 45.2% less result JSON. This is not a measured Google quota saving or visual-quality improvement. Google's Task reasoning and usage limits remain outside the app's control.

• 偏好设置新增“启动时自动启用文件工具”，沿用目录及权限；默认关闭，目录失效时保持暂停。开启后，手动暂停只对本次运行有效，换目录或权限仍立即暂停。

• 新建支持 create 模式，拒绝覆盖并创建父目录；简单文件可以查询一次工作区后整份写入。

• MCP 指导明确软件用途，提醒保留细节、实际动画和交互，减少无关浏览与重复读回。

• 成功结果只保留 content[0].text 的一份 JSON；依赖 structuredContent 的客户端需要调整。

• 本地样例结果 JSON 体积减少 45.2%，不等于已实测节省 Google 额度或提高创作质量，无法代替官网设定思考预算或解除限流。

Validation / 验证

46 local checks passed: scoped file/MCP behavior, seven startup scenarios, DPAPI and mocked tunnel lifecycle. Chinese/English settings and startup persistence were checked in the browser, including narrow and wide layouts. Clean Windows package boot was checked. GitHub Windows CI passed.

46 项本地检查通过，覆盖目录限制、真实 MCP、7 种启动场景、DPAPI 及模拟隧道生命周期；浏览器检查中英文设置、重启生效和窄/宽窗口，干净 Windows 包启动正常。GitHub Windows CI 也已通过。本次没有额外向 Gemini 发消息；跨电脑、长期稳定性和真实模型的额度/成品质量改善仍未验证。

Downloads / 下载

Fully extract the Windows x64 ZIP and run Start-ArgonDesk.cmd first. Node.js and runtime dependencies are included; first launch downloads the official ngrok client and checks its signature. Source setup requires Node.js 22+. SHA256SUMS.txt covers both ZIPs.

Packages exclude personal configuration, account credentials, private tunnel URLs/keys, history and logs. Google write Allow remains manual. ngrok is the integrated provider; TUN depends on the network. The desktop executable is unsigned. This is an independent project, not an official Google application.

不包含个人配置、账号凭据、私人隧道地址/密钥、历史或日志。官网 Allow 仍需人工点击，仅集成 ngrok，TUN 取决于网络，桌面入口未签名。独立开发，并非 Google 官方应用。

Let the Gemini website read, create and edit UTF-8 files in a folder you select on Windows through a native custom MCP app. Use an eligible existing Gemini web account; no model API key is required.

• Windows x64 ZIP: includes Node.js and runtime dependencies. Fully extract, then run Start-ArgonDesk.cmd. First run downloads the official ngrok client and validates its signature.

Boundaries / 边界

Google currently requires manual write confirmation. Windows x64 is the current target. No shell, full computer control, delete/move or Google-bound OAuth. ngrok is the integrated provider; other tunnel options are documented as future work. TUN is network-dependent, not a universal requirement. The desktop entry is unsigned.

官网当前需要人工 Allow，面向 Windows x64；无终端、完整电脑控制、删除/移动或绑定 Google 的 OAuth。仅集成 ngrok，其他方案列为后续方向。是否需要 TUN 取决于网络；桌面入口未签名。

Validation / 验证

Local scoped MCP, credential/lifecycle tests, bilingual UI and clean-package startup checks passed. The Windows PowerShell 5.1 official-client download/signature path was tested. The first hosted Windows CI run also passed and generated a package. Another-PC acceptance and long-running stability remain unverified.

本地目录限制、真实 MCP、凭据/生命周期、双语界面和干净包启动检查通过，Windows PowerShell 5.1 完整下载与签名校验也已验证。首次 GitHub Windows CI 已通过并生成打包产物；另一台电脑验收和长期稳定性仍未验证。

The packages exclude personal state, account credentials, private URLs/keys, histories and logs. Public packages do not redistribute ngrok.exe. This is an independent, actively developed preview, not an official Google application.
