While installing the latest Nextcloud Desktop Client for macOS, I noticed that the official download links appear to be broken.

While installing the latest Nextcloud Desktop Client for macOS, I noticed that the official download links appear to be broken.

Steps to reproduce

1. Visit the official documentation or desktop download page.
2. Follow the download link for the Nextcloud Desktop Client.

Expected behavior

The user should be redirected to a valid download page where the latest desktop installers are available.

Actual behavior

The link

https://docs.nextcloud.com/desktop/latest

returns HTTP 404 (Not Found).

In addition, the official website’s desktop download links appear to redirect to a non-working page, making it difficult to obtain the installer.

For example, I successfully downloaded and installed:

Nextcloud-33.0.6.pkg

The installer is valid and Apple notarized:

$ spctl -a -vv -t install Nextcloud-33.0.6.pkg

accepted
source=Notarized Developer ID
origin=Developer ID Installer: Nextcloud GmbH (NKUJUXUJ3B)

So the issue seems to affect only the documentation/download links rather than the installer itself.

Environment

• macOS Sequoia 15.7 (Intel Mac)
• Nextcloud Desktop Client 33.0.6
• Official Nextcloud website and documentation

Could someone please check whether the documentation and download links need to be updated or the redirects fixed?

it gets clear that the broken link should direct to https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/user_manual/en/desktop/index.html (or something like that)
