Introduce global file name schema

I'm quite new to this app, but what stesses me extreme is - I configured auto upload with a useful default with YYYY (4 digits) - so it cannot confuse me if 17-06-05 is shown and I'm not sure if this 17 is the day of a month or the year.

But when I upload a file with the "+"-button I will be asked again what file name schema I'd like to use. My previously pre-configured auto-upload schema is not re-used. It starts asking me again and again if I want to customize the default on every upload.

Whatever I configured there in auto-upload - should become a global setting or we should introduce a new global default setting. I think most users will use just one schema all times and reconfiguration is just an edge case.

I do not like to configure this several 100.000 times in my life for every file. I would also vote for changing the default of the app to YYYY and not just YY.

It makes sense to use user file mask also in upload form.

Exists the filename mask for upload ... why do not use it ? I don't understand where is the issue, the YY it's for iPhone with small format ... the long filename is trunc by system.

See first posting. The filename Schema from Settings is not used for manual upload (+ button).

If you modify/insert a schema in manual upload (+) this remain for the next upload (+).

Ok, understood.
The original post is asking for just having ONE file mask and use it everywhere in the app.
i do not see a reason for having separate file masks for manual and automatic upload.

Several user required this ... but I think this is a duplicated ... We will see in the future

Just one more note. Please sync this setting with all my ios devices (i'm logged in) so it is everywhere the same and I cannot make mistakes and end with different schema names, please.

Hey, that would be a Server change and new issue in other repository. iOS device do not share any settings for other devices. Benefit of your idea would be that android app could use it as well. @AndyScherzinger what do you think?

@rakekniven would have to think about it but the Android app does not support file name masks but uploads files as-is.
