This version contains some breaking changes to the nf-schema API. See the migration guide for more information.

Added

  1. Added a new configuration option validation.allowParamsSubstitution to substitute parameters in String values in the samplesheet. See the docs for more information.

Removed

  1. Removed support for help message creation via configuration. Use the paramsHelp() function instead. All configuration options (except for validation.help.enabled) are still available and will still change the output of the paramsHelp() function
  2. Removed the positional argument from paramsHelp() and moved to the a named option called parameter
  3. Removed the positional argument from paramsSummaryLog() and paramsSummaryMap() functions. This data is now fetched from the pipeline session itself.
  4. Removed the deprecated validation.failUnrecognisedParams and validation.failUnrecognisedHeaders configuration options

Changes

  1. Improved the overall efficiency of the plugin. This should be especially noticeable for larger samplesheets.

Bug fixes

  1. Fixed an issue where the summary creation functions would fail if the default of a parameter was set in the schema, but not in the pipeline.
  2. Fixed an issue where parameters with the Path type containing a remote file would show the wrong file path in the summary.
