The first public release of Karya Studio Desktop for Windows.

Paste one Karya Studio API key and generate on your own PC. Everything you make is billed against
your existing Karya credit balance, and every finished file downloads straight to a folder you choose.

File Use this if
KaryaStudio-Setup-0.2.0.exe You want a normal install, with a Start menu and desktop shortcut.
KaryaStudio-0.2.0-portable.exe You want to run it without installing anything.

Getting started

  1. Grab your API key from karyastudio.io/settings#api-keys.
  2. Open the app, go to Settings, paste the key, click Test.
  3. Pick a model and generate. Results save automatically to your chosen folder.

Windows will warn you, and that is expected

This app is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen shows a blue "Windows protected your PC"
screen the first time you run it. Click More info, then Run anyway.

Code-signing certificates are an ongoing cost we have not taken on yet. Download only from this
GitHub release page so you know what you are running.

What is in this release

  • 65 image and video models, all available. Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Wan 3.0 and MiniMax H3 are
    pinned on the Home screen as shortcuts.
  • Per-model parameter forms, tabbed, so several jobs can be set up at once.
  • History with the credit cost of every job, and an Assets gallery of everything you have made.
  • Automatic download of every result, with a sidecar .json recording the model, prompt, settings
    and cost.
  • Jobs survive a restart. Close the app mid-render, reopen it, and the job resumes.
  • Your API key is encrypted at rest with Windows DPAPI and never leaves your machine except to talk
    to Karya.

Requirements

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. About 81 MB to download, roughly 250 MB installed. An internet connection
and a Karya Studio account with credits.

Known limitations

  • Windows only. There is no Mac or Linux build.
  • No automatic updates yet. Check back here for new versions.
  • The built-in Prompt Writer needs your own LLM API key connected in Settings.
