Trinidad Head v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@nicedreamzapp nicedreamzapp released this 21 Sep 06:26

The first version you can download and run. No build tools needed.

Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 14 or newer): download Trinidad-Head-mac.zip, unzip it, and drag Trinidad Head into Applications, and open it. It's signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens with no warnings.

Windows (Windows 10 or 11): download Trinidad-Head-windows.zip, unzip it, and double-click Trinidad Head.exe. If Windows shows a blue "protected your PC" box, click More info, then Run anyway.

New in this version

  • Edit what you typed like a text box. Highlight words in Claude Code's prompt and press Backspace to delete them, or type or paste right over them. It deletes exactly what you highlighted, even across wrapped lines.
  • Copy more than the window shows. Drag to select, even inside Claude Code, and keep dragging past the edge to grab more.
  • A right-click menu with Copy, Paste and Select All. Selecting no longer copies by itself.
  • Greyed-out suggestion text now looks greyed out instead of looking like something you typed.

Trinidad Head v0.1.0

@nicedreamzapp nicedreamzapp released this 19 Sep 07:43

First tagged release. Source only, no installer yet; it is young and changing fast.

Trinidad Head is a terminal written from scratch in Rust for Windows and macOS, with no borrowed terminal engine and no web view inside.

  • Dark glass windows with a neon rim, and a different color for every open window
  • Your own prompts in a Claude Code chat sit in their own bubble so they're easy to find when you scroll back
  • Works with Claude Code's focus view; faint text draws dimmer so ghost suggestions read as hints
  • Drag and drop files onto the window, right-click menu, Cmd/Ctrl+click links, dictation friendly
  • Pairs with Claude Code Local, with a "keep going" path to free or local models when Claude credits run out

Build it:

scripts/build-mac-app.sh # Mac, puts "Trinidad Head" in ~/Applications

Windows build steps are in the README.
