A background Windows app that allows you to control your Miro board (pan & zoom) using a SpaceMouse.

SpaceMouseMiro.pyw is a self-contained tray app. It still needs only Python, with no packages to install. Save it somewhere permanent, such as your SpaceMouse-Miro folder, and double-click it, or run pythonw SpaceMouseMiro.pyw. No console window appears, just a yellow puck icon in the system tray. You may need to click the ^ arrow by the clock to see it, and you can drag it onto the taskbar to keep it visible.

Right-click menu:

Status line showing whether it’s active and which device is connected.
Pause: the icon turns grey while paused.
Precision mode (slower): for fine positioning.
Settings… (double-clicking the icon also opens this).
Start with Windows: a tick toggle.
Open log: for troubleshooting.
Quit

Settings window, in four tabs:

Speed: pan speed, zoom speed, response curve, smoothing, and the precision mode speed.
Axes:
Reverse left/right, forward/back, or zoom direction.
Pan by sliding or tilting the puck.
Zoom by push/pull or twisting.
Dead zones, and an “accidental-move filter” to stop zooming from causing sideways drift.
Buttons: press any SpaceMouse button and click Add this button, then pick an action from a list: zoom to fit, undo, select tool, pause, precision mode, and so on. You can also type custom keys such as CTRL+SHIFT+Z. Your current five mappings are already filled in.
Advanced:
Touch or scroll-wheel method.
The “only when pointer is over Miro” option.
Which apps and browser tabs count as Miro.
Start with Windows.

Most changes apply as soon as you click Save changes, without restarting. The bottom of the window also shows live puck readings, which helps when adjusting dead zones.

Also good to know:

Saved settings: stored in %APPDATA%\SpaceMouseMiro\settings.json, so they survive updates to the script.
One copy only: if it’s already running, launching it again just tells you so.
Diagnostics: python SpaceMouseMiro.pyw --list and --debug still work from a terminal.
Settings window won’t open: it uses tkinter, which comes with the standard Python installer. If the window fails to open, your Python install may be missing it.
