Libron now supports CrossPoint Reader. The converted cpfont files are built and published in ebook-fonts, at 12, 14, 16 and 18 point sizes, with all four styles.

The accents on these sat too far to the right, over the right stem of the u instead of over the middle of the letter. They are now back on the u anchor, which is where the other weights already placed them.

As part of this release, v0.10 of kobofix.py is now being used to build the KF variant of Libron.

CrossPoint Reader preview (new!)

This was added after the release, on July 30, 2026.

Users of CrossPoint Reader can try out an early version of Libron for the Xteink X3 and X4 devices by downloading CP_Libron. This is a preview version and I have yet to manually test it, but please let me know if it works well!

This release also addresses a common complaint about "wobbly" fonts and an uneven baseline. If you have previously downloaded the KF version and are using it on a Kobo e-reader, it is highly recommended that you update to this release and replace the fonts on your device, as the font rendering is seriously improved with this release.
