The first release after 0.9.0 that is not a beta.

New since 0.9.0

  • Flow. One mouse on two or three computers: push the pointer past the screen edge and the mouse goes to the computer behind it, with what you copied (text, pictures, files and folders). Pairing by a six-digit code, encrypted link. Between computers running MX Options, Linux and Windows alike.
  • Windows. The program runs there too: an installer and a zip are below.
  • Linux desktops other than KDE Plasma. The ready actions, the Actions Ring and Flow are done in the way GNOME, sway, Hyprland and X11 desktops allow.
  • Shapes. Sixteen shapes drawn with the gesture button held, each with an action of its own.
  • Game rumble. What a game sends to a controller's motors is played on the mouse's haptic motor.
  • Other mice. Logitech mice other than the MX Master 4 are taken with what they report they have.
  • Tray icon styles, firmware versions, a banner when other mouse software runs alongside, and mxoptions --call … to reach the program from scripts without D-Bus.

Windows

mxoptions-0.10.0-setup.exe installs for your user without administrator rights; mxoptions-0.10.0-windows.zip is the same program as a folder. Neither is signed, so Windows asks before running them.

Logi Options+ has to be out of the way, service included, or the two undo each other's settings. Uninstall it, or from an administrator's PowerShell:

Stop-Service OptionsPlusUpdaterService; Stop-Process -Name logioptionsplus_agent, logioptionsplus_appbroker -Force

Game rumble needs the ViGEmBus driver on Windows.

What was run, and what was not

Used day to day on KDE Plasma 6 (Wayland) and tried by hand on Windows 11, with an MX Master 4: buttons, gestures, wheels, the ring, haptics, Flow between the two.

Not run: GNOME, sway, Hyprland and X11 desktops themselves (their ways come from their documentation; the X11 ones were run in a virtual X server); Windows 10; the Bolt receiver on Windows; rumble in a game itself; Flow on three real computers; the .deb on Debian or Ubuntu.
