Release list
v1.0.2: spellcheck part two
also removes list-pokedexs (holdover from attempt to maintain mis-spelled identifiers, before deciding against it)
marks v1.0.1 as retracted
v1.0.0: API Stability Guarantee
PokéAPI is ready to Go!
v1.0.0 and v1.0.1 contained a number of spelling mistakes due to automatic code generation. These have been resolved in v1.0.2
v1.0.2 is considered feature-complete - all further changes will be backwards compatible1.
This package provides a wrapper around the PokéAPI project. It features strong types, a built-in cache, idiomatic client usage, and helpful error wrappers.
-
As the
rangefuncpackage is still experimental,github.com/nightmarlin/pokeapi/iterator.NewSeqis not covered by this guarantee. Once the package is updated to go 1.23, this will be marked as stable. ↩
v0.3.0
improvements for more generic use cases! Resources have been renamed to ResourceNames, and have been granted extra type information, allowing you to call List on them and get a concrete type back!
Thanks to this, we now have resource-scoped iterators - a simpler way of using pagination if you just want to iterate through the list. Also added an example of how to use an iterator, and a Seq2 rangefunc implementation for those who feel ✨ fancy ✨.
v0.2.0
Rewrites the caching strategy to be Significantly Simpler - while I had fun with the Tx-like implementations, they were over-complicated and made testing a nightmare!
All changes
- caching strategy changed from
Tx-like approach to aloadOnMiss func(context.Context) (any, error)system - doc improvements
- errors now only store the status code
- added TTL support to the LRU cache
v0.1.0
Contains the entire pokeapi client. Mostly set in stone, with the notable exception of github.com/nightmarlin/pokeapi/sprites - this package will likely change when I work out how best to represent the sprite tree structure.
