Apploggd is a game scrobbler for Backloggd. It sits in the system tray,
detects the game you're playing, times the session and logs the playtime to your Backloggd
journal when you close the game — no browser, no manual entry.

Changelog v1.1.0

Added

  • Apploggd now updates itself, from the notice in Settings > About, the startup toast or the tray
  • The app version is now shown at the bottom of the sidebar, under the logout button

Changed

  • Versions in the "What's new" window are now separated by a rule

Fixed

  • Restored compatibility for the "saving session" flow after an upstream UI change.
  • Reduced resource usage of the headless browser
  • Animations no longer run while minimized or in the tray

Requirements

  • Windows 10/11 (Linux/macOS builds start and the UI works, but detection isn't implemented yet).
  • A Chromium-based browser (Chrome or Edge). If you don't have one, the app offers to download its own (~400 MB).
  • A Backloggd account.

Installation

  1. Download "Apploggd--win-x64.zip" below.
  2. Extract it wherever you like — it's portable, there's no installer.
  3. Run Apploggd.exe.

Keep the whole extracted folder together.

Privacy

Your password is never stored — it's used to sign in and then discarded. Session cookies are encrypted with DPAPI and tied to your Windows user, and can be wiped from Settings → Account & Data → Delete data.
