A computational framework for systematic cross-validation and gap analysis of packed bed correlations. Currently focused on single-phase pressure drop (ΔP) models.
Dozens of pressure drop correlations exist for packed beds, each with partially overlapping validity ranges derived from different experimental setups. This framework answers three questions:
- Which models are physically reliable? — Cross-validate each model against fundamental physical laws
- Where do models agree? — Compute a weighted consensus across all models and quantify agreement
- Where are the blind spots? — Detect regions of the design space where no model provides reliable predictions
The pipeline operates in three corresponding stages.
