Changes

  • Completed books remain in Better Stats history after they are returned to or removed from the PocketBook library, so finished counts, calendar entries, and streaks are no longer lost.
  • The updater no longer depends on a firmware-provided sha256sum command. SHA-256 validation is built in, the GitHub asset digest is checked when available, and update failures now produce clearer diagnostics.

Existing updater problems

If in-app updates previously failed on your device, install v1.2.9 once via USB. Future releases can then use the fixed updater.
