This release pairs with Firelink 1.5.0. It adds browser video discovery for supported pages and improves handoff reliability.

New features

  • Discover supported video streams from browser pages
    • Find HLS, DASH, and Smooth Streaming playlists used by a page's player, including embedded players.
    • Send the original page to Firelink's Add window so you can review it and choose an available format.
    • Keep discovery tied to the current tab and the most recently observed player stream.

Improvements

  • Make automatic browser-download handoffs more reliable in Firefox.

Fixes

  • Prevent repeated media handoffs when the browser does not receive a timely response from Firelink.
  • Preserve the selected video or audio link when sending it from the browser context menu.
