WebPatch 0.3.0 — Docker discovery / Docker

Running webpatch scan on the host now discovers one local Docker daemon and reports each container's image, PHP packages, conventional installation paths, header versions and process hints. No WebPatch installation inside containers is required. Access failures, stopped containers, read errors and coverage limits have explicit next steps.

Scans use bounded local GET/HEAD requests. They do not exec commands in containers, install software or restart services. Use --docker-socket /absolute/path for a custom/rootless Unix socket or --docker off for the original current-system scope. Remote contexts, other daemons, Kubernetes/containerd and arbitrary custom paths are not automatically covered.

Ubuntu/Debian package versions reuse the existing reviewed vendor rules. Alpine and custom PHP installations remain UNKNOWN; header versions, image names and successful reads do not authenticate running code or patch provenance. Host and container inventories remain separate. A potentially affected container package produces scan exit 1; other incomplete evidence remains exit 2 / UNKNOWN. All safe fields remain false. Containers must be updated through their image/build/deployment workflow; no in-place container repair is added.

Supported installer targets remain Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 and Debian 12/13. Confirmed host repairs retain the existing official amd64 PHP FPM/mod_php prerequisites and exact confirmation. Existing plans/receipts bind implementation hashes and must be regenerated after an upgrade.

再次运行 README 中的安装命令即可升级,确认 webpatch --version 显示 0.3.0,再执行 webpatch scan --lang zh。默认只检查一个本机 Docker daemon;需要有访问该 socket 的权限。

Rules still expire at 2026-10-29 00:00 UTC. This release does not change risk rules or extend their validity.

WebPatch 0.2.0 — Clear results and guided repair /

Default scans now show a readable result, affected packages, remaining checks and next steps. English/Chinese output, terminal colors and --details are available; JSON and scan exit codes remain compatible. Installation shows concise progress and retains complete failure diagnostics.

sudo webpatch fix guides preparation and package repair using the existing supported profiles, manages review files/receipts, and requires the complete displayed plan hash for each change. Existing probes and authenticated package archives remain prerequisites. Missing evidence blocks repair; no --yes, automatic probe deployment or hidden service action is added. Cancelling after preparation does not undo service changes; recovery receipts are retained.

Supported install targets: Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 and Debian 12/13. Confirmed repairs remain limited to official amd64 PHP FPM/mod_php profiles. Other systems/architectures and container in-place repair remain unsupported. All safety results retain safe=false; installation does not establish runtime safety.

Rules still expire at 2026-10-29 00:00 UTC; this release does not extend their validity. Upgrade by running the installation command again. Old preparation receipts/plans bind implementation hashes and must be regenerated after a program update.

WebPatch 0.1.0 — Linux preview / Linux

First versioned Linux distribution: one-command installation on Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 and Debian 12/13 without Git, venv or pip. The installer resolves a concrete release, checks SHA256 and package metadata, installs the tool and required dependencies through APT, and rejects downgrades. It does not scan or repair PHP.

The package is architecture-independent Python and requires Python 3.10+ (resolved through APT). Installation portability does not extend the certified repair profiles: official amd64 PHP packages, supported FPM/mod_php, complete evidence and exact plan-hash confirmation remain required. macOS, Windows and other Linux distributions are not supported by this installer. There is no public APT repository.

Bundled PHP/Node rules expire at 2026-10-29 00:00 UTC. After expiry assessments remain UNKNOWN until a source-reviewed rules release; updating the program never silently extends rule validity. Installation and package-version matches do not establish runtime safety.

Checksums detect corrupted or mismatched assets obtained through GitHub HTTPS; they are not an independent publisher signature. This release has no separate package signing key. For installation, upgrade and uninstall instructions see the installation guide.
