A trade pass across several leagues recommended an offer in every one of them, and each
recommendation fell apart at the user's first question. The numbers behind them were right.
The judgment was not: every trade was ranked by one number, the gain in the user's starting
lineup over the rest of the season, and any positive gain became an offer. Shown per week, most
gains were two or three points. Several offers gave the other manager a player he would not
want (questionable, newly behind a teammate, or valued far below what was asked), and several
left his lineup exactly where it was, so he had no reason to say yes. The pass also relayed
subagents' calls without re-testing them, and the subagents had been asked for an offer per
league. The right answer that night was "no trade worth making", and it arrived only after the
user had pushed back five times.
Added
references/trades.md, the procedure for trades the assistant proposes: score both teams'
optimal starting lineups before and after on the host's rest-of-season and next-four-weeks
projections, counting players parked in IR slots at their projection; say the host number
and the engine's league-scored trade value together and name their split; start from the
engine's Trade Partner Finder. Then the bar a trade must clear before it is recommended: a
per-week gain worth a starter (about three points a week, stated beside the season total,
the floor adjustable in the private document), a real reason for the other side (a hole
filled and a trade value even or in his favor; a deal that leaves his lineup flat is a free
probe, never led with), no player on the user's side the other manager will not want, and a
week-by-week read free of one-bye artifacts and bye stacks. "No trade worth making" is a
complete answer, said first. Delegated work asks for "none" as an expected answer and is
re-tested against the bar before it reaches the user. Under pushback a call is defended with
the numbers or retracted as wrong from the start, never flipped to agree.
Changed
- Skill section 8: the bye-week stretch bullet becomes "Proposing trades", pointing to the new
page and its bar. Its sentence on trading into draft-day overpayers moved to the page intact.
