OBS Conductor v2.2.1
OBS Conductor 2.2.1
The tally is in BETA. It reads many switchers now, but it has only
been tested on simulated machines for most models (PixelHue: field-tested).
It starts stopped each time the app starts, and one click on
STOP TALLY stops it again at any moment.
Downloads
| System | File |
|---|---|
| Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) | OBSConductor-Setup-2.2.1.exe |
| macOS 11+ (Apple Silicon and Intel), signed and notarized | OBSConductor-2.2.1-mac.dmg |

| Linux x86_64: any distribution | OBSConductor-2.2.1-x86_64.AppImage |
Needs OBS Studio 28 or newer. Install over the previous version: settings
and playlists are kept.
Tally (beta)
ON AIR / PVW at the top of the dock, read from:
Blackmagic ATEM, Roland V-160HD, vMix, TriCaster / Viz Vectar, Barco E2 /
S3 / EX / Encore 3, Analog Way Aquilon (LivePremier) and Ascender (LiveCore),
PixelHue Q8 / P10 / P20 / P80, Panasonic KAIROS.
- Starts stopped. Settings > Tally > Turn the tally on to start reading
the switcher. - STOP TALLY, red, at the top of the dock while the tally runs: one click
and OBS Conductor sends nothing at all to any switcher (no connection, not
one byte; open connections are closed at once). Works even when the dock
is locked. OBS and the master / slave links keep working. - Read only, always. OBS Conductor never sends a command to a switcher: no
cut, no take, no source or preset change. Every message is checked against
a closed list of reads per machine before it leaves the computer. - Scan (on demand): to a machine it doesn't know yet, it sends nothing but
a connection and, for some models, one read request. ATEM and Barco are not
scanned: choose them in the list and type their address.
Details per model: docs/TALLY-DEVICES.md.
Not supported: Roland V-60HD / XS-62S (single network connection), Roland
V-1200HD, older Barco Encore.
Also in this version
- MASTER / SLAVE, STOP TALLY, ON AIR / PVW and the slave status badge: text
properly centred. - macOS: the log says when the menu bar icon starts, and why if it stops.

OBS Conductor v2.1.2
OBS Conductor 2.1.2
First public release on GitHub. OBS Conductor runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
A playlist of OBS scenes, each on air for its own duration with its own transition, and a master / slave mode: slave machines copy everything the master does, live. Its interface is a dock inside OBS.

| Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) | OBSConductor-Setup-2.1.2.exe |
| macOS 11+ (Apple Silicon and Intel), signed and notarized | OBSConductor-2.1.2-mac.dmg |

| Linux x86_64: any distribution | OBSConductor-2.1.2-x86_64.AppImage |
Needs OBS Studio 28 or newer. After installing, close OBS once while the app runs: it adds the OBS Conductor dock to OBS by itself. Then Docks > OBS Conductor. Details: README.
What's in it
- Playlist in an OBS dock: scenes in order (drag & drop), a duration per cue (or the length of the scene's video), default and per-cue transitions, ACTIVE / SKIPPED per cue, loop, action at the end of the playlist.
- Master / slave over the network: a slave finds the master by itself and follows it live (scene, transition, media actions). Status always on screen: FOLLOWING MASTER, FREE RUN or DISCONNECTED.
- Sync: a slave copies the master's media files, OBS settings and scene collection (with source positions and sizes). AUTO SYNC does it by itself.
- Fallback scene when the master is lost, or the slave goes on alone.
- Tally from a PixelHue Q8 switcher: ON AIR / PVW shown in the dock. Read only: the app never sends a command to the switcher.
- Lock mode, playlists saved as
.obsplaylistfiles, works without internet. - macOS: universal app with no window and no Dock icon. An icon in the menu bar shows the state (green, orange, red) and lets you quit.
- Windows: icon in the taskbar with notifications. Linux: .deb and AppImage, OBS from Flathub supported.
- The app adds its dock to OBS by itself, on every system.
- Command line:
--stop,--add-dock,--simulate.
Good to know
- The Windows installer is not signed: Windows protected your PC > More info > Run anyway.
- macOS: no notifications (Windows only).
- Automatic updates from the master work between Windows machines only.
- Master and slaves can run on different systems; sources that exist on one system only are listed as unknown after a Sync.
