The public /api/live endpoint now returns uncached JSON with the current version and checks the D1 binding before reporting healthy. Database failures return HTTP 503; a missing optional test-marker table does not make a working production database unhealthy.

Validated with 175 unit tests, coverage, types, lint, real local Workers HTTP checks, security gates, and CI. The main deployment succeeded and production returned HTTP 200, Cache-Control: no-store, version 0.4.2, and database.connected: true.
