Random wallpaper doesn't function

Description

When activating the Wallpaper Automation it does not work for me. It used to work but i just realized that it doesn't work for me for some time now and i don't know what version worked lastly.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to Settings
2. Click on Wallpaper
3. Enable Automation
4. Set any timer your want (i tested with custom on 1 minute aswell)
5. Wait
6. Doesn't change wallpaper

Expected Behavior

It should change the wallpaper

It used to work in the past, i don't know what version that was though. It feel like it worked around a few weeks ago.

Okay - after reboots or after killing and restarting quickshell the automation works. But as soon as i wake my PC from suspend, it stops working

I don't know if my issue is related, but for me the automation stops working after I unplug an external monitor. I cannot even select a random wallpaper using qs -c noctalia-shell ipc call wallpaper random. I need to restart quickshell to make it work again. I'm using the latest noctalia v4.4.3.

I'm having the same issue. It seems like every time the monitors turn off, both the automatic wallpaper change and the command qs -c noctalia-shell ipc call wallpaper random stop working. It looks like Quickshell has trouble detecting the screens once they are turned off and back on again.

Yes, I can confirm that this is still the case.

Hello, I can confirm this is still the case. I'm on Hyprland, and the ipc call stops working once I resume from suspend.

The only ways to then make it work are to either restart noctalia, or reboot.
